BeautynetKorea Haul

Hi everyone and happy new year! I started a new job this month so posts have been a little less frequent and I haven’t been reading as much. I hope to get back on track and dive into some books and manga that are in my TBR stack soon.

This post is a little different, but today I received a package of beauty products from BeautynetKorea that I treated myself to with a little bit of my Christmas money. I’ve been interested in Asian beauty products and skincare routines for awhile now, so it was fun to pick up a few products to try them out.

First I just want to say what a pleasant experience I had shopping at BeautynetKorea. I could spend hours on their site; they have so many interesting products to look at. The shipping was super quick. I received my order 10 days after it shipped (and it shipped 2 days after I placed the order). They were also very generous with the free samples!

Here are the products I ordered:

HOLIKA HOLIKA Gudetama LAZY & EASY All Kill Cleanser Oil To Foam – I haven’t ever tried an oil cleanser or an oil to foam cleanser, but I’m really interested to test this out. I don’t know if it’s more of a gimmick like shampoo and conditioner combos, but I hope it does its job properly. The fact that Gudetama is on it made it too cute to pass up. Seriously, I can’t get over how adorable the Holika Holika x Gudetama Lazy & Easy collection is. I need it all!

SAINT PEAU Eco-Friendly Snail Sun Cream (SPF50+/PA+++) – I wasn’t exactly sure where to begin with picking out a sun cream, but this was listed as one of the top sellers, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong there. It’s supposed to have anti-aging properties, which is probably something I should care more about since I’m closer to 30 than 20 now!

SECRET KEY 2015 New Snail Repairing Emulsion – I’ve been a big believer in products with snail extract ever since receiving some in a Beauteque BB Bag ages ago. It really seemed to help brighten my skin. This product is supposed to moisturize and brighten skin. I know that snail mucus or snail extract might sound weird to people, but I really do think it’s a miracle product. I’m really looking forward to trying this out.

Here are the samples I received:

TONYMOLY Panda’s Dream White Hand Cream – I have TONYMOLY peach hand cream and I love it, so I’m sure I will like this.

TONYMOLY Jeju Snail Essence – Is it bad that I hope I don’t like this because it sells for about $40? I’m sure it will be amazing, though!

TONYMOLY The Black Tea London Classic Serum – This is an anti-wrinkle and whitening serum.

TONYMOLY The Hayan Cherry Blossom Whitening Cream (x2) – This has cherry blossom extract, and I’m a sucker for anything cherry blossom-related, so I’m happy!

TONYMOLY Regencia Homme Multi Fluid – I couldn’t find this for sale on their website, so I just linked to TONYMOLY’s site. I had no idea what a multi fluid was, but it’s supposed to make skin relaxed, moisturized, silky, and elastic. That’s a lot of features. I wonder if it lives up to its promise.

Do you buy any Asian skincare or beauty products? What are some of your favorites? Please feel free to leave me suggestions because this is new-ish territory for me and I’m excited to learn more.

Beauteque Monthly July 2015 Review

It’s my favorite time of the month, when my Beauteque Monthly BB Bag arrives! This month’s theme was Picnic of Pretty, and I love how the bag looks like a checkered picnic blanket – so cute!

Beauteque Monthly July Bag

This month’s bag had so many awesome products. I’m excited to share them with all of you.

Beauteque Monthly July Bag Contents

Holika Holika Golden Monkey Glamour Lip Kit – This is a three-step kit to treat dry, chapped lips and plump them up. My lips have been pretty dry lately, so I was looking forward to seeing if this would actually help. First you use an exfoliating pad, then there’s a gel mask to hydrate, and lastly a deliciously scented honey treatment to moisturize. I don’t know about looking plumper, but my lips sure felt amazing after I was done using this. They felt so moisturized and are staying that way even days later.

Yeon/Jeju Hullabong Special Peeling & Pack Mini Set – These are a set of four wash-off masks, with various ones to exfoliate, energize, and clean the skin. I haven’t tried these yet, but I have a feeling I’ll be a fan, since I love face masks.

Beauteque Monthly July Packs

Tony Moly Crystal Blusher in Pleasure Peach – This is a really pretty peachy-pink shade. It goes on nicely and I like the fun crystal texture.

Blending Brush – I always like getting to try new brushes, and this one seems to be of good quality.

Secret Key Aloe Soothing Moist Toner – The aloe is to moisturize the skin, and my skin is pretty dry, so moisturizing products are always appreciated.

Etude House Milk Talk Body Wash in Steam Milk – I didn’t know exactly what to expect with this fragrance, but it smells like baby power, which isn’t normally a scent I seek out, but I was surprisingly happy with it. It smells fresh and clean and leaves my skin really moisturized. The scent lightly lingers after the shower too, which is a plus, in my opinion.

Once again, I’m super impressed by all of the products in my Beauteque Monthly bag. I can’t wait to see what next month’s theme will be!

My Beauteque Monthly bag came the other day and I am so happy with everything in it.

First of all, the bag itself is so cute. I love anything with a Parisian theme.

Tony Moly Timeless EGF Second Skin Eye Goggles – I’m looking forward to using this to brighten up my eye area, and I suppose I’m not getting any younger so the anti-aging is nice, too. 😉

Beauteque June Eye Goggles

Tony Moly Cotton Nail Ball – These are too cute, almost too cute to use! When I first saw them, I thought it was actual cotton candy. So fun!

May Island Peach Hand Cream – I’ve wanted to try this hand cream for a while now, and I’m so happy to have received it in this month’s bag. It smells like delicious peaches and is very moisturizing. And the fact that it looks like a peach? So cute!

Baviphat Peach All-in-One Peeling Gel Mini – This smells so good, I was almost tempted to eat it. 😉 This is to “exfoliate, reduce appearances of pores, and brighten skin”.

Baviphat Strawberry Toxifying Mask – Yet another adorably packaged, delicious smelling product! This is a deep cleansing clay mask used to “tighten pores, control sebum, and give relief to troubled skin”.

iCharming Nail Polish in 505 – This is the color I wanted to try, so I’m really happy to have received this. It’s a light purple (like lavender or lilac) shade with micro glitter and larger hexagon glitter pieces.

iCharming Witch’s Pouch Lip and Eye Remover – This came with perfect timing, as my other makeup remover was running low.

I love everything in this month’s bag and I’m already looking forward to next month’s. So many fun products to try that I might never have even heard of otherwise.
